In this learning experience, students explore connecting and belonging by focusing on what it means to be Indigenous in Manitoba and Canada. Students have the opportunity to discover, share, and reflect on First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples experiences in Canada, ending with a focus on National Indigenous Day, June 21. This unit was designed to be primarily teacher- or caregiver-led with some independent work completed by the student.
