In this activity from Elections Canada, students reflect on the question of inclusion and exclusion, then work together to examine case studies of different groups with respect to voting rights in federal elections. They create a “timeline with attitude” that shows how a group was included or excluded in Canadian democracy over time and then learn about the history of the federal vote through a video and an infographic. Step-by-step instructions and links to materials are featured in the Blended Learning Guide below. This resource and many more can also be found on our website at www.electionsanddemocracy.ca
